Since I'm gearing up to play live, I traded my HS7s in for a pair of ALTO TS110A. For the 1st time ever, I am in love with the acoustic piano sounds. I am floored!!! This is one hellavu speaker system. The audience is gonna love it

Powered speakers are way too go now days. There is a lot of variety, and at this point they are all pretty good.I just got me Yamaha DSR112.Now I have to get me subs too.
Congrats on your choice. They were a bit more than I wanted to spend. These Alto are inexpensive ($225 each) and sound terrific. For years, I've been looking for a good acoustic piano sound and these produce, big time. Little warmer and fuller makes that "hollow" piano sound disappear - they really are close to a headphone sound! The 10" gives enough bass for me too

15" powered two way at only 32 lbs. These originally listed for $899 now $399. These would replace a bunch of my PA equipment. I'm trying to justify getting two. Don't REALLY need them but I can't pass up such a deal.
Anyone have any experience with these?

Hi Bill.. For music and DJ work i think theyre ok, but for piano on lower notes, you will here them rattle .. Had to return mine.. Best to research for customer reviews on speaker systems nowadays , as reputable brands names are now labelled on cheap chinese parts..

Thanks for the reply Yesterday I did that and looked at reviews on these posted by all the major stores. I'd say it seems like very few negative posts. I even called two stores and asked about reliability. Seems to be a big seller and really no negatives. Only one post mentions your problem. Of course there's always the odd bad one in the bunch. Did both of your speakers give you a problem? Did you send them back and try a different set to see if it was just a bad speaker or a design problem ? I figured these were Chinese made but I don't think that always means something is bad. Just made with cheap labor. I think even Apple does it.
