Went fishing Tuesday. Got mud in water pump. Bottom line $160. Today air conditioner is not working in Expedition. Haven't had time to get it checked out, but it could be from $100. to $1,000. Good news is I got two calls last week for private parties. I thought I priced both of them so high I wouldn't get them, but they didn't blink. One is tonight, the other next Tuesday. Should be enough to cover both of these unexpected expenses.

Good Karma oon your side. Glad your feeling better and back at it. Just had booking thing like that. Got a call to do a party back in my old area. Means a 2.5 hr drive each way and the place is not that easy to move in and out. One elevator for all. Blurted out a price and the lady said fine. I was thinking about it all day and called her back. Explained the long day it would be and I think I would need to adjust the price higher. Now to be fair I take a lot into consideration when pricing something and always try to give a good deal for all. I really didn't care if I lost the gig considering the work involved. She said she understood and the price was still worth all my time and effort. You never know

Yep, as Bill says, that's definitely good Karma.
I often equate things working out like yours did as an affirmation of the old "Law of Compensation" in action, although sometimes it happens too slowly for us to recognize.
It's nice to see you getting back in the groove again.

Party went very well, and I brought home about a gallon of Jambalaya for the family. About the only thing bothering me now is that I have some fluid around my left lung, which is fairly normal. If diuretic and drugs don't help I will have to have it drained. Going for more X-rays next week to see if it is better or worse. This fluid makes me very out of breath, especially when I bend over, putting pressure on stomach and lungs. Susan is having a colonoscopy in the morning and we have to leave the house at 7:00. She had colon cancer at the age of 46 but has been cancer-free for 6 years now, so we are expecting good results again. Thanks for your good wishes and prayers!
