I love that Mitsubishi are now using Bobby Caldwell for their current ad campaign.

I like Caldwell better than the car (I'm a Subaru man). And I like "Alice" (Hot Guitar Solo) better than "Got a thing For You"

Bobby's great. too bad he can't afford GOOD HAIR (LOL)!

Tonight I saw Bobby being interviewed by Tavis Smiley. Fantastic interview which is why I always watch Tavis. It's not on youtube yet or I would post it. He talked about his first major tour opening for Natalie Cole who called him and asked him to open for her and of course he accepted. He said "I don't know if she knew I was white" because pictures of him hadn't been published. When he opened for her he said "there wasn't a sound from the primarily black audience when I came out on stage and started singing. But after 3 songs they were totally with me". Bobby transcends age and racial boundaries and appeals to everyone. Tavis Smiley provides interviews that you would never see anywhere else. Gotta love PBS on cable.

Must be "mental Epilepsy" or something, Nigel. I've been a Caldwell fan for years and do several of his tunes every week.

I think HE is the hardest working man in show business.

Just wish he'd get a better hair piece (LOL)!

I just got back from Vegas. Last night in the casino we were staying in there were 2 acts playing at the same time on opposite sides of the casino. I heard both of them play Bobby's "What You Won't Do For Love".

That song first came out in 1978 ... it still sounds fresh.
