During today's show......I pushed the lyric/text button and got an error message that said too many files to view ? ...... but, the "LINKED" text to REG was working fine,...
when I got home I checked the USB lyric folder and it has 502 files. Since I just added a few files last week is 500 the Max number of files.......when I get the KB in the house I will start deleting files 1 by 1 and keep checking access to see when it will be viewable again.....any ideas.?

There is a limit on the FOLDER size. I kept a folder for each letter.
I just read that the folder size limit on s950 seems to be 400. It sure works faster with smaller folder sizes though. Most people try to keep them to around 100 files per folder.

Don it must be more then that depending on text sizes = MB? Or maybe its the total size of ALL DATA on the USB device?

Yep, 400 files or folders in the root directory, and folders are limited to 400 individual files. You might need to split the files between folders if you exceed that number.

Hi guys I might be wrong but I'm sure I read the spec for the files and folders was the same as they tyros 3 of 500 files. Not sure where I read it though although I can check later to see how many files I've got in each folder on my USB

Limit is 500 txt files.....I had 502 I'v deleted 3 and it worked again..

It will work faster with fewer files!

Don I don't have any problem with speed or accessing files if needed it's just that there is a 500 file a limit on the folder....
