It is called a digital piano as that is its main feature.
I have a PR903 which is two series above this instrument which is about ten years old, so the 603 is probably about twelve years or more.
Yes, some of the sounds are not up to the modern era but it is still a great instrument.
There is little difference between the 600 series and the 700 or 900 models apart from the power output of the 900 which is 250 watts (much more than the needs for my lounge room).
All the piano players who have played mine marvel at the quality of the sound.
Yamaha was the only other maker around that time and they were very much the same quality type of instrument but had no competition after Technics stopped manufacturing their musical products.
I am not a piano player but I love playing it and so do my friends.
