Having tried reinstall,confirmed drivers are ok,I have tried to upload some styles from my previous kn5 using song manager only to get transmision error.has anybody had this problem? I cant seem to resolve this and would wellcome any sugestions.I have had my k7 4weeks and this has buged me since.

Hi Maurice, I think the best way to get your KN5 styles into KN7000 format is to load them from floppy disc into the KN7 and then save them to SD card or back out to floppy - whatever suits you best - a bit laborious but a lot of us have 'been there'!! Once the files are in KN7000 format, then you should be able to move them around using Song Manager.
I don't think Song Manager recognises the KN5000 file format.

been here before, Bill... you can transfer 5000 format through Song Manager and bring it back as 7000 format, much quicker than using floppies overall (not 5000 custom obviously). If Maurice's midi is working his transfer should also be working.

I assumed (maybe wrongly) that Maurice was referring to custom styles which he had created himself or were not the original built-in KN5000 styles. There is no need to convert the originals, since most, if not all, are available, already converted, on the technicsKN7000.com site

I have tried files from the k7 site and k5 files
loaded after adjustments on the k7 saved to floppy.I then loaded these into song manager but none will transmit. if i load a midi song file, this will play through the k7,but this also will not transmit to sd in k7.
