Hi - A friend has a CVP-609 piano, and I have the Tyros5. As seen in other discussions here and elsewhere, these are very different "beasts", but they do share some commonalities. (It seems to me that the CVP-609 has the "guts" of a Tyros 4 in it, plus its own CVP stuff such as the "Natural!" voices).

Is there any utility out there that would convert Registrations from one to use on the other (either or both directions?) (from CVP-to-Tyros, or Tyros-to-CVP)? I realize that it couldn't be a "perfect" conversion, as the Tyros line and the CVP line have alot of differences. But even a partial "translation" might be useful. For example, he has a group of about 24 registrations that I'd like to have on the Tyros, so that I can use the basics of what he has already set up (voices, tempo, choice of style, etc.), and modify them on the Tyros without having to do them "from scratch" on the Tyros.

Has anyone seen anything like this around? Or are the Tyros and CVP "worlds" too far apart?
