I do, and the therapist says that 60% of the problem shoulders he sees are cured with therapy; the rest require surgery.

Add that to Rosacia of the left eye and plantars in my left heal for a pretty miserable time, these days.

Deadlines are so tight I've been canceling therapy sessions.

Tried to visit Tony Mads in Louisville today; something I REALLY wanted to do, and ran out of time.
Need to slow down and heal up!

Russ how'd you tear a rotator cuff?
Is it recent, or an old injury?

Don't know, Boo. I fell at a recent shoot, but don't think that was what caused the problem. My Dr. says it's easy to do at my age and level of activity.

Had one three years ago.
No surgery, no therapy, plenty of pain killers and a miserable nine months till it eased.
Look on the net for exercise I did and it worked for me

Thanks for asking, Tony. Lots of therapy, but no relief. Looks like surgery at some point.

Hurts, but haven't missed any recording dates or work, yet.

Russ......I've been watching this post for a while now. What type of doctors have you seen? GP.....orthopedist......chiro, etc?

I've had dreadful left shoulder pain for 2 years now and it's only recently I found out it's a "pinched nerve" in my neck that is causing such pain and radiating all the way down to my biceps. It seems I have a habit of "tilting" my neck when I'm typing or playing the piano and kind of "crunching" that nerve.

So.......you've had an X-ray, MRI, or some kind of confirmation from more than one source that it's a "torn rotator cuff?"

And, if it is, I would consider acupuncture. It worked well for me when I had knee problems.

Mark, so far, I went to my G/P, who sent me to get an X-Ray; then to therapy. The therapist has conducted 6 sessions and reported back to the G/P that MRI's and and ortho appointment are needed. I'll go to the ortho guy late next week. All indications are, there is no question that it is a classic rotator problem.

Persoanal beliefs will keep me from a chiropractor. I come from a long line of traditional medical people.

Thanks for your advice. How's the shoulder now?
