Shortly after everyone departed for home, the world just outside my window came alive with wild things, critters we now take for granted when the arrive. Thought I would share a few seconds of video of what we see nearly every day just outside the bedroom window and from the deck.

Those deer are so skinny the wolves wouldn't even eat 'em down here in Louisiana!

You're right about that, Donny. Lots of hummingbirds, but no deer other than the Key Deer just south of Marathon.

Don, they are skinny. Too many deer, not enough food. The farms have all given way to upscale housing developments, and the deer are relegated to surviving on what little food they can find on by foraging on the lawns and what is left of the adjacent woodlands. They're enjoyable to watch, though.
