Personaly i am a big fan of innovative things in the arranger market, one of those things was the ensemble function of the Tyros 5. I am not a T5 player, but still a huge fan of the feauture..

The viseo is inGerman, but shows the possibillities of this feature... Its in German, and if you dont understand any German, the musical part of the demo starts after about 10 minutes, just fast forward.

I have thought the Tyros 5 very appealing in this regard, but at their price point, I will have to forego it and be satisfied with building velocity layers on my Audya.

You cant compare vellocity layers with the ensemble feature.....

As a programmer i have seen that the ensembke feature is actually not that hard to implement on any future arranger, do you agree with me that this feature has a future with other arrangers?


Personally i see it as something that would shine in any totl arranger or workstation..

I would love to use this in combination with some synthesizer sounds, it might actually make synths come alive and give them more body.. Imagine playing with 4 slightly detuned sythpads and this feature... But then, this will not be possible on the T5 since yamaha has reduced this feature for ease of use and performance to some typicall instruments
