Tony Mads looked great with his minimal hair in Gary's basement.
His enthusiasm for playing shines through.
I've never seen DonM without the hat...and I don't think he owns a grey hat.
I like Uncle Dave's picture bottom left.
I've got a mop...but been clipping it short...the grey is ok with me except on my face.
Since the jam I took off the mustache and goatee. Did it make me look younger? No one
who sees me walking into a gig expects me to do rap or hip hop. But it's not all Sentimental
Journey either.

Sad Tony but very true.....
grey hairs......young crowds not a good mix. frown

Yea, but if you play the senior circuits they think you're at youngster smile smile well at 62 they think I am......some residents are as old as my mother, so I'm young enough to be their son.

Well, personally - I am not one for false impressions. I would never color my hair, wear a toupee, do a comb-over or any other ridiculous thing to change my appearance.
I'm old.(yet, still in my fifties!)
I'm bald, and what hair still grows wild on my chin is gloriously gray. Until I decide to shave for some reason other than visual impressions, I will enjoy that extra 3-5 minutes of "scrape-free" peace every morning.
My crowds have always been both younger and older than I, so there is no point in trying to look like anyone other than myself. The picture on the left was 2 years ago, the one on the right was this summer ... both will remind the clientele who is performing when they check in with the receptionist. It's serves a purpose .... to let the people know who's playing that night. It's not an album cover ... just a throwaway calling card for a few weeks.
Thanx for all the input.
smile
Should I post my HS picture?????
Or, maybe my role as "Billis" in South Pacific??????
That was then - this is now, and never the two shall meet again.

See, Dave, I just know you're now regretting putting those old photos up.

Just wondering, but could you rotate those tassels in opposing directions at the same time?:):)

Actually - YES! That was the highlight of the number! I stole that show from the leads - my part was so funny, it was a snap. The ship painted on my (hairy) belly was done with red lipstick, and I was sweating so hard by the end of the number, I looked like I was in a motorcycle accident! I had such a ball in that show - funny, in about an hour, I'll be heading down the shore for my holiday weekend schedule, but first a stop for happy hour on my buddy's deck in Somers Point who was "Stewpot" in that same show with me! Reunion time!

Gig is slang for a musical engagement in which musicians are hired[clarification needed]. Originally coined in the 1920s by jazz musicians,[1] the term, short for the word "engagement", now refers to any aspect of performing such as assisting with performance and attending musical performance. More broadly, the term "gigging" means having paid work, being employed.

Comes from the term "gig". It means you are moving from one gig to the next, singing along with each band for a few songs and then moving on. It's similar to clubbing, except the clubs are more likely to be coffee shops and there will probably be more singing and less dancing/drinking. Gigging is about experiencing the music and atmosphere of each venue. Tends to be more popular with people who enjoy jazz or "underground" music.
