All true. Still MUCH prefer Korg bass lines, drum sounds, vocal harmonizer and ability to edit and/or replace ALL factory styles. Plus the Songbook feature is GREAT.
Yamaha lead instruments, particularly guitars, ROCK! You can find good ones for Korg but sometimes have to edit or look outside the factory stuff.
You can make Yamaha styles just sound like korg styles, .... Its just a matter of putting in the effort..
Yamaha acoustic and natural instruments sound much better the korg.. korg synth sounds however sound better then yamaha...
But Korg gives you much more controll, both for real time arranging as in controll over your sounds, as in edditing... Which might be a pro for the pro users. Also the vocal harmony is better then Yamaha
Yamaha designs its top line arrangers to make them fun to play, every new feature they added breathes fun... Last week i was in a lms out of time spending time between 2 buiseness appointments, playing around with the T5's ensemble feature... It just couldnt stop, lost track of time and was half an hour late for the 2 nd appointment.
Its not just the sound that differs, its the whole feeling, Korg is designed with pro musicians in mind, Yamaha is designed with home users in mind, yet fits most pro users still very well.
