Can anyone suggest a 'simple' midi file editor. All I am looking to do is very simple cut and paste editing and transpositon etc. Most of the commercial packages are so comlicated to use (to a simpleton like me anyway). It would be great to have it in notation format which I find far easier to work with.

Just a thought. Have you tried Evolution's MIDI Editor? It's available free from a number of outlets.Although it's quite old (1995) and simple, it seem's to meet your requirements. If you'd like a copy get in touch.

Many thanks for all replies. That gives me a few to go at. I have been a registered user of Noteworthy since version 1, brilliant notation program but I find it a little clumsy with midi files.

If you only want to do SIMPLE editing, (as you state), then what is wrong with using the KN 7000 itself. It is very easy to use
