Hi Ron,....I was looking for a lighter weight smaller Powered Sub that I could handle by myself on stage gigs. Frank @ Audioworks CT suggested the EV ZAX1 powered Sub & I am so glad he did!! cool2 . It's the perfect size, weight and easy to carry Powered Sub I ever used. Quality built with a rugged Sand-Paint coating to avoid scratches, great side handles also.
When coupled with my DXR8 Tops & I cut the High Pass Filters down to 100Hz it sounds so amazing. headphone Especially when you want to pump a room with dance music. dance2 For a OMB act they are perfect. cool2

You have to be kidding..you guys are not use to real bass.. smile

EV sub @-3db range is 53hz to 93 hz.....@-10db range is 44hz to 118hz..

You may as well use a Bose ...If the roll off is 100hz..@ -3db there is a hole in the frequency range..just like Bose..

I'll take an old Cube ..3 way and woofer goes down to 38hz..and full range to boot..

Guys you better rethink why you need a sub woofer grin

20-25kz is sub range...

No wonder Donny is cutting bass, he isn't use to real bass on the floor...Don't judge bass on the stage or front row at a nursing home smile

Lol.....Fran I have the he option to go 120Hz also..plenty of bass for My needs...
I would never use a sub in a nursing home.
Zax1 is a great sub!!!!!I will probably buy another one very soon also.
