I think the trick is in the GM2 support

Kronos FA08 and Motif all support GM2.... but Kronos requires some settings to support it.

Set in GLOBAL BASIC the Bank-Mapping from KORG to GM(2).This allows you te receive GM2 in the Kronos Sequencer mode..

In general the styles will sound Okay, but require some fine tuning to make them excellent

- Add the Korg guitar mode

- Then later, audio drums...

Sounds great, espescially the support for the Korg guitar mode...

And Audio drums are a great step to, however i cant wayt till you get support for the full audya audio styles.. that would be a huge step.

Also looking forward to the upraded soundset of the Varranger software set, if you could somehow get it to sound as good or better then the SD1000 you made another milestone for being a fully software based sollution

As allways a big fan of your system, if i would not be so happy with my T5 i would have switched by now...

Got a chance to listen, is it pianoteq he is using?

Slowly Varranger is showing his true potential..

I think if i wasnt so happy with my Tyros5, i might be tempted to try a MoXF8 Varranger combo.... or Varranger on top of a Kawai MP11 (what a touch) with a ketron SD1000...

Dan,
Wonderful sounds! Absolutely some of the kind of music I really love.
Please give details as to the sound module/VSTi or whatever he is using....And is that a stock style(YamahaEtc) or one he did himself.
Simple, great sound and well played for sure.

This is the kind of performance I hope to be able to do with vA2.

He is using some VST instruments.
it's 100% virtual instruments.
It is I think a stock Ketron style.

You know, you can route each track to an hardware synth or to a different VST

On this mp3 he is using this :

http://www.vilabsaudio.com/true-keys-american-grand
http://www.uvi.net/en/composer-tools/plugsound-pro.html
http://pro.magix.com/en/independence/overview.1012.html

But for now, don't spend your money smile

Continue disocvering your SD1000 sounds

Dan,
Some awesome sounds for sure...Yes the SD-1000 is pretty darn good overall.
I am discovering the sounds I like best and making them Sound Bar entries.

I'm hoping vA2 has a better built in sounds some time not too far away? The I can combine SD-1000 & vA2 sounds.
