Hi,
Linux is a completely different operating system, no windows-software will work with it ( some of Win-SW can be run under "wine", but that´s for people knowing what they´re doing
).
But it recognises the Audya as an "USB-drive" so that I can copy files between Audya - PC on thin way also.
So if you don´t know already what linux is and can do : forget it
If you look ( under Win 8.1 ) into the "device-manager" ( submenu of system-control-settings ), are there any yellow triangles displayed ? If yes, you´ve got a driver problem...
I usually have the PC running, the Audya as well, and then I´m plugging the usb-cable in and everything works fine.
A fellow of mine has very often problems with his usb-connection to the Audya, it´s no "cable-problem" ( I gave him mine ), maybe a problem of his Audya...
