I recently bought a 130 watts RMS solid state amp that was on special at Guitar Center for $175. It is the ZT Lunchbox that is only the size of a lunchbox with a 6.5" speaker and weighs 10 lbs. It saves me having to drag my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe to rehearsal each week. It is really an amazing amp considering the size. I run my Boss ME-70 modeling into it to get a tube sound. But for playing clean jazz that probably isn't even necessary. But with the modeling I get a great rock sound from it. It has plenty of good power and saves me breaking my back. I could use this at a live gig if I needed to. When I first brought it to rehearsal I got some funny looks ... but when I powered it up everyone was amazed. For the tiny size it looks like it would have a very small sound, but people just forget I am not using my full sized combo amp.
