Hi,

I have just received my new Audya which I am loving so far but the manual does not explain too well how to record a song.
What I am trying to achieve is to record a chord sequence/progression to a song and then play the melody line and record the two combined.
This saves me having to record both parts simultaneously i.e the chords and the melody line.
As I am not that accomplished a player yet this would make it easier for me.
Any help would be appreciated on how to do this or to know if it can be done using the Audya.
Many Thanks

Cubase by Steinberg will handle that or any other recording program. There are some low-end freebie's on the net that will do it too.

Ok thanks Orchestrator
I have worked out that it can be done by recording a Midi file
for my chord sequence and then recoding this file as a syncronized midi.

This gives you a second file which has been merged with the first as a wave file and this gives me both the chord sequence and the melody line.

I will try a DAW but I don't fully understand them but I will endeavour to learn.

Thanks
