I made a folder called "Latin" and connected my computer to the SD 7. Found folder and then went to my registraions where I
dragged my Latin registrations to the folder. The Latin mumbers showed up inside the folder "Latin" so I thought I had it made.
When I went & opened the latin folder and clicked on the first registration (Girl from Ipanema) the wrong style showed up.

What went wrong? Answers would be greatly appreciated. Lloyd

Lloyd,

The folder "LATIN" needs to be inside the SD7's REGISTRATION/BANK 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 subfolder. It can't be in the root directory.

When you press REGIS (REGISTRATION button on the SD7), it is tied to the REGISTRATION folder that has 4 sub folders - BANK 1-4 so whatever folders you create need to be in either of these bank subfolders. If you only have 4 categories, you can actually simply save them in these 4 Banks as that was why the banks were created - to help you differentiate which registrations you want in which. However if you have more than 4 categories, then inside Bank 1, you can create the LATIN folder and move all your latin song settings into this folder. Then create another e.g. POP (still inside the BANK 1 subfolder) and move all your Pop related song settings/registrations into that etc.

To access your registrations/setting, simply press REGIS ... touch the BANK (1-4), then touch the folder you created displayed on the main screen ... then touch your registration/setting. We can go over this in person next Friday.

Hope this better explains how to do it. All this can be done on the SD7 itself, but it is a lot faster when you connect to your computer and simply drag and drop etc!

Thanks,

AJ

PS:- Brian, Audya replacement? Hmmmm ... get the SD7 or ... do you have the AjamSonic upgrade kit installed in your Audya? It's like having a nother keyboard all together.

Brian,

In my opinion, you would be giving up more than you would get. The Ajamsonic is the flagship and tough to beat. The SD7 is not intended to replace it, even though it has a few nice additions.

The Right One slider is for that.
You may have to reduce the volume on some styles for best balance.
You can also Edit a voice and may be able to turn volumes up on the edited version on that page.

Don,
I reset the volumes so that the left sliders were all at half volume. I then adjusted the right sliders and found that I
achieved a much better balance and now had the SD 7 sounding
much better.
I am enjoying the sounds now and have learned a lot thanks
to you and others who have been patient with me.
There is a great realism to the styles and voices and I expect
I will come away from the Orlando Workshop with more info. that will add to the joy of owning the Ketron SD 7.
Thanks for putting up with me. Regrds, Lloyd
