This must be the least exciting upgrade. The s910 to s950 was a better update. This is more like a psr s955

When this keyboard is launched then it would be the right time for s900/s910 owners to upgrade to the then cheaper s950

Just wondered, is ANYONE waiting to purchase a keyboard like this??
I just don't get it. Why does Yamaha not go along with the tide.
Release arranger keyboards with touchscreens and with drums that emulate or are at least nearly as good as the Ketrons and they will yet again swamp the market.

John

They will swamp the market anyway John. I'll bet the vast majority of the thousands of members at PSR Tutorial have never even heard another brand arranger.

I disagree with my learned colleague Don Mason. There are lots of guys and gals on the PSR Tutorial forum who had other brands of keyboards in the recent past, and some, such as Bill, who just added a Korg to his array of boards. Now, he is probably right in that Yamaha will sell one Hell of a lot of the new S970s when they become available here and abroad. Lets face it - it's one Hell of a good sounding machine with a huge array of great features. Why wouldn't it sell?

All the best,

Gary cool
