First, I was at a "park" concert. The 12 piece band was good and they were using relatively small Carvin pole speakers with subs. The sound distribution was excellent. I left before the end and as I was walking to my car, I could hear the same "comfortable" sound almost a quarter of a mile away.

That started me thinking about these "pole" speakers, and then I saw this Bose system in the magazine.

What do you Bose aficionado's think of it?

I heard about these a few days ago. I bet they sound fantastic. Overkill for what I do though.

It has been announced in April I think.

For much larger venues than I would do. Excellent system though I would guess.

I agree, it's a fantastic system for huge venues, but for most of us, 2,000-watts is overkill, especially with a system that has that much coverage.
