Deane, not bad. With a bit of training, you could increase your range and vocal control very easily. Most community colleges offer a non-credit course in Voice and Articulation for singers. You already have a good start on this, and I'm quite confident you would really do great. Even at the level you are at right now the ADs and residents would love ya!

Well I think both songs sound really good. Particularly considering you haven't been doing it much. Just do it, you'll gain confidence and get better and better.
You should not be afraid to sing in front of anyone! Love the sound of your voice.

Deane I'm confused after hearing these vocals demos why you have been depriving your audiences of your singing abilities. Personally I think you should start singing more & more at your gigs it adds a BIG dimension to your act for sure. Start by adding a few songs to the program and each giog add a few more until your singing every song, I'm sure they will love it once you build your vocal confidence and hear the applause after each tune..

I wouldn't mind adding a singing song or two to my sets right now but I have to get the correct mic settings for the SD7 get some practice in. We'll see.

Deane, whatever the settings and mic you used sounded just fine - stick with them.

Deane you just improved your act 101%. Without adding and improving you will find heads turning and more appreciation.

Your voice quality is good; what you need is experience.

I sense new excitement coming. At this age something new and exciting does not happen often. You have not said but I bet your excitement level has gone up a lot.

Deane.......I would have to agree with all of the above comments. You certainly surprised me with your singing.

One thing though that I need to ask you.

I listened to Anytime (btw, one of my favorite songs) first. It was quite respectable, but not enough life in your voice. Then I listened to Dream and you more than made up for it.

So, the question is.....why you didn't put that kind of energy into Anytime? You're obviously capable of it!

Aside from that, again.....I was very impressed with your singing, especially since you said you've not had a lot of experience doing it.

Deane I’m going to step out here. I read your personality to fairly progressive; this will eventually be expressed in your singing.

Most singers start with little confidence; with time their true nature surfaces. You’re gonna do just fine – and I’m looking forward to that.
