While there seems to be alot of files floating around for the newer models (5000, 6000, etc.) has anyone found location(s) that have files that would be compatible with a 901 ?

Also, the converter program that has been talked about; does it convert any of the newer files to the 901 format ?

KN-1200 and KN-901 is compatible to KN-2000,
and it's no problem to convert from most of
the other brands and models to KN2000.
However, we're waiting for a new version of
the "famous" EMC program, and hopefully it
will cope with KN6500, PA80 and SD1 too.

I don't see any mention of file compatibility between the technics PR series and the KN series. Is there any interchangability ?

As far as I know, the PR603 reads KN6/6500 files, or/and vice versa, but here are probably
other members who know much more about it.

It's not a straight load from the 603 to the KN6000 (from my experience) I don't know if it is a straight load from the Kn6500 because I don't have one.
But the 603 does have a APC to SMF conversion built in. It will convert your APC very easily and with some fancy work you can also convince it to convert your "hand" sequenced discs.
I've done it so if you need more specifics let me know
