OK I'm a newbie...just been playing a few years so this might be a newbie question...

I find some really nice styles when I go through styles just to hear what they soundlike. Lots of times I'll find a cool Latin, Schlager, some Entertainer style or other style I like but can't think of a song to go with it.

Thoughts?

If you wish, I'll send you my MFD and I believe you'llFINDwhat you're looking for.

Gary, do you have many good user styles in your MFD as well as factory preset styles?

Yes, many of them. You can download my thumb drive and it will link them directly to the music finder. I'll post links for both later this morning.

Here is a link to my most recent MFD for the S-950. I believe it will also load directly into the S-970 as well. MFD 2015

Here's a link to the USB Thumb Drive that I use, which has all the registrations and styles that I use on the S-950, including the 3rd party styles that link directly to the MFD above. USB drive files and folders

To install the MFD, insert the USB drive with the MFD downloaded MFD file, then merely press Function/System Reset/Music Finder. You will get a prompt to append or replace. If you do not use your current MFD, just select replace. If you do use your current MFD, select append and my files will be added and the other files will be retained.

After downloading my USB drive information, copy it to your USB drive and insert your drive into the keyboard. That's all there is to it. You now have access to many of the third party style files I use, which is several thousand, plus loads of registrations that I use, which I believe will work on the S-970 as well without conversion.

Hope this helps,

Gary cool

Bernie, the USB drive will work in your S-910, but I'm not sure about the MFD. I think you can use Michael Bedesem's MF View program and convert the MFD to your S-910.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Thank you very much for the files.

Looks like I am going to be busy updating my repertoire.

Glad I could help.

Here's a couple hundred song specific styles for Yamaha users that I think you all enjoy. StylesA zip folder

Styles 2 zip folder

Enjoy,

While the second folder has a few good styles, there are lots of lousy ones in the folder as well.
