I have recently been experiencing two problems:

1. On the top of the Synth Zone page a video advertisement will start running as I am trying to navigate down the page. As it runs, it keeps jumping the page towards the top. This is especially problematic when I am trying to type a response to a post;

2. Today I started to watch a video on MSN and a box came on the screen saying: Adobe Flash Player Settings and, in a box inside that, it says: Local Storage ui.bamstatic.com is requesting permission to store information on your computer. Requested: Up to 10KB, Currently Used: 0KB. It then has 'click boxes' for what is a 'Download into a Folder' icon, an 'Allow' box and a 'Deny' box.
Of course I am not about to allow something onto my computer that I do not know, but when I click on the 'Deny' box, nothing happens ... the main box does not go away ... In the meanwhile, the video I wanted to see continues to run in the background.

Anyone???

PS: I ran a virus scan and it found no threats ...

Tony, it's not a virus. These things are a real PITA and the only way to get rid of them is to run programs such as malware bites and Advanced System Care, both of which are free.

Lately, one of the forums I frequent, apparently either got hacked, or they sold my email address to some spam-spewing company. I get 20 to 30 emails a day now that are in the same format, all of which are trying to sell me crap. Despite the fact that I block them, more come in every day, of course, using a different address, but in the identical format. Just pisses me off!

Install Adblock and it should stop most of the problems. (NOTE: it will not stop HTML5 videos)

Also check the options in your antivirus software, as most these days give you the option to block ads.

In addition make sure you have the latest Flash Player installed here

OK ... I GOOGLED "what is ui.bamtastic.com" a few different ways and got something that said to empty the cache ... so I did and that 'box' no longer shows up ...

Adblock is not blocking the ads that come up on the top of the S-Z page but I have not seen any video ads there yet ...

So, it looks like for now I am OK ...

BTW... this is on my wife's laptop which she uses for her business, so if I screwed up I am in DEEP do-do ...

This afternoon, I ran Malware Bytes and my email problem went away completely, at least for now. I was getting 30 to 50 emails every day from spammers - that completely stopped after running the program.
