I did a quick search on this forum for an iPad arranger and found posts on Midiband. The posts are two years ago. Now they have version 3.1. I donwnloaded the pro version. 50 % sale mere$1.99. There are two different free versions to try out. It played well Yamaha .sty files. I connected my Korg Microkey 61 and sent the midi out to Sound Canvas within my iPad. It sounded pretty good.

I have Live Styler in my notebook but iPad is so much more portable and the setup is much easier.

This is an interesting innovation for sure...

I will be testing this next week for sure.. And then i will write a report on it.

I would look forward to your report on this as I am not much of an arranger player. MidiBand 3.1 has more features than I thought it did. The author of the app replied to my request right away saying that the feature is already there in the Pro version which I have. Even though there two free versions, you might want to just jump onto the Pro version for $1,99 as it has more features. A cool app.

I tried the pro version. I would not use it on a professional level as I already have two arrangers. It does require a lot of style tweaking to my satisfaction and as I said its a lot easier just use what I got. Now on the plus side, for the price it does have a great interface, and does a lot for its concept . It's fun to play around with, but , it's not really for me . Btw Roland has a app that is simular that is used with the bk series arrangers.

Offcourse the styles require a lot of edditing if you dont use a psr or other GM2 compatible Yamaha instrument as your soundsource, after all its the Yamaha style format.

But at that price, for people who use styles once in a while, its a great buy for the money... I dont think its yet a replacement...

Yes, they are very good for editing and interactive real time performance.
