I have Win XP and Win 7 on my laptops.....I'll try it if it works fine if not in the garbage it goes,......nothing wrong with my Audio Out Inputs....But just in case anything ever does it would be a decent workaround in a pinch. And the price is right.

Adapter and Converter:
The USB Stereo Sound Adapter is a highly flexible audio interface which can be used either with desktop or notebook systems
USB Bus Powered. External Power Not Required
Connectors: USB Type-A, Stereo Output Jack, Mono Microphone Input Jack
LED Indicator for USB Activity
Compatible with all major operating systems
Software Requirement:
Windows 8
Windows 7
Vista
Windows XP
Linux
Mac OS
Hardware Requirement: Computer with USB 2.0 port

What we don't know is the sound specifications and the minimal latency we can get with this

Maybe good for djs who likes to listen to different thing in the headphones, and the main audio out

like I said I would only use it as a backup on stage if the audio input craps out nothing more,..latency is not an issue for this use in a pinch just to play Mp3's. I also carry two fully loaded laptops with me at all times on stage also just in case. cool2

There are very few chipsets used in budget USB interfaces, you would be very unlucky if your OS doesn't support a new device. I occasionally use a pc for background audio and use a Behringer uca222 interface. I like the fact that it is on the end of a cable and has phono connectors, I worry both about accidentally knocking and damaging a "dongle" and the relative fragility of headphone jacks. This uses a cheap Burr-Brown chip (Texas instruments by another name). C-Audio, Realtek and Via are other ones I've seen at the budget end, I'm not aware that any particular budget chipset is notably better or worse than any other.

UPDATE: I just received the Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter and it works flawlessly. Great clean stereo sound headphone .......just plug it in USB using my Win 7 PC and drivers were instantly recognized with no problems.
I will keep it in my laptop bag just in case,....great deal!!

I recommend it. cool2
