Hello,
Please help suggest a music style (from my Yamaha PSR S770) to play along with each of the following three (3) songs:
1) I Can See Clearly Now
2) Let's Stay Together
3) What's Going On
I really appreciate your feedback because a Yamaha arranger and the S770 itself are both new to me;
I have been diligently matching styles and songs on my own, however, I have a rehearsal with the tenor sax player early tomorrow.
Thank you and have a great weekend.

Thank you for the "I Can See Clearly Now".

Here are the styles I've come up with that seem to match both Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and also Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On"...

1) Cool 8 Beat
2) Kool Shuffle
3) Jazz Pop

and to a lesser extent, "Motor City" (Variation C), and "Gospel Brothers" (Variation A)

"R & B Soul Ballad" . . .
is the name of another music style I found on the S770 that matches both
"What's Going On" and "Let's Stay Together".
I needed to increase the tempo from the default of 85 to about 96.
I felt Variation "B" was the most useful.

Gary, you are my real "hero" this morning.
I absolutely love the new "I Can See Clearly" Style (and its Variations) for the bridge that you so generously rushed me.
I had never loaded a style into an arranger before this morning.
Years ago, Gary, when the first Korg MicroArranger was released . . .
. . . a super helpful man named John Smies "walked me through" step-by-step how-to replace all the settings at once (sounds and styles both) on my KMA.
Since then, however, I have never attempted it again let alone by myself.
Last month I rented the S770 to evaluate (prior to hopefully purchasing) a new arranger and you have been the first person to send me a style. I wasn't looking for a new custom style when I wrote the POSTING yesterday. I didn't think I could figure out how to load your file.
Not being a naturally tech savvy fellow I waited until lI woke up early this morning to challenge myself and I am thrilled/delighted with the results.
Gary it plays perfectly on my S770 and sounds awesome.
My tenor sax player is going to be so impressed at our rehearsal this afternoon. We have a high-profile wedding gig tonight with our regular 11-piece band where I am a sideman playing NORD;
but I also have 1/2 dozen (smaller) gigs where I will take the PSR 770 arranger during December where I'm the leader. Gary, "THANK YOU" for sharing such an amazing sounding style. Please direct me to where I can purchase more? Its amazing how the drum mapping, instrument selection, fill-ins, . . . all play and sound PERFECTLY on my instrument.

Newday, go to www.psrtutorial.com You will find thousands of free styles. You don't have to, but you can purchase a CD with all the styles you'll ever need, and much more, and it helps support the site as well.
