Bill, the big disadvantage with the 3000 was the lack of memory and it's inability to access the MFD via the USB drive. And, of course, the screen visibility in bright light. All of those things have been addressed, plus the 950 and 970 have so many incredible, new styles and voices, it is well ahead of the T2 in that respect. Additionally, the onboard sound system is really incredible sounding, and powerful enough to play many small venues without taking in a PA system. Living-room parties and small assisted living venues can easily be done with the onboard sound system alone. One of the features I really enjoy is the addition of the USB onboard recorder, which is first class. Some say the keyfeel is a bit firmer than the 3000, but the part number for the keypad is the same as the S-950 and I suspect the design has not really changed. However, as you well know, those of us that play every day of the week enjoy the lighter touch of the PSR series. Added to the above features is the lighter weight, which when get as old as Don Mason, makes life a lot easier setting up and tearing down, which to me is the hardest part of the job, and of course, the least fun. Good luck, Gary
