Is the Tyros4 drum alot better than the psr970 Drum?or is it the same? Thanks

They are pretty much the same . There is only two good kits , real drum kit and real brush I believe it is called. I mean, it is the same as T5.

I have both; Tyros 4 and PSR S970...

If you are looking at just drums.....PSR S970.

The Tyros 4 is still a great keyboard. Did a Christmas gig with the Tyros 4 today. Anyway you cut it, the Tyros 4 is a wonderful sounding keyboard.

I feel that the 970 drums are better than T4. As mentioned, two good sets stand out. Of course there are also the audio drum styles, which are pretty much real drums.

Right now I own the Sd7 and sd1 plus and my friend sent me some custom styles and custom sounds from back home for yamaha. I tried them on my friend tyros3 here and they sounded really good so I wonder if they are going to sound as good as on psr970,drum wise and custom sound wise.thanks

I've never heard any other drums sound as live as the Ketron drums, but they all are acceptable now.

Thank you Don and everyone for replying.now anther question,i would like to try converting yamaha styles to ketron which is .pat . Then load them intio the SD7 which has a built in styles converter.Is there another styles converter beside EMC?or can some members help converting yammy styles to ketron styles.I will be glad to pay.thank you so much

I will pick up a very good condition Tyros4 for $2,400 tonight. Is that a good price?Any way,I will end up with ketron Sd7 and tyros 4.
