SFF = Style File Format.

It's Yamahas proprietary way of encoding midi files into styles; that is if I understand it correctly.

There are two versions:

SSF1 & 2

In any case, I ordered a DGX650, so we'll know what's what in a week or two.

Hello, I have bought the DGX 650 and apparently it can read both SFF1 and SFF2 style files, which is nice.

What I'd like to know, though, is styles for which other Yamaha keyboards would tend to be most compatible with the DGX 650? For instance, will it play styles made for let's say a Tyros 1 or 2 or a a PSR S650 or 950 without too much tweaking? Guess it would probably depend on whether the concerned style uses GM / XG or panel voices ?

Anyway this is a great DP / arranger. I am really looking forward to see extensive video reviews of the new DGX 660!

Regards

Vinciane
