One of the world's finest jazz singers passed today. I was fortunate to back her in the mid-80's once (somebody else failed to show), play with her uncle Ike and meet her dad several years before he passed.

The world is a better place as a result of her kind heart and fabulous talent.

back ion 1984 I was on a music tour in Hawaii Maui and she was on tour with the commondores she was the opening act she came to my show and could not be nicer she was great that night she gave me tickets and we had a good conversation about the bussiness I was a young man at the time and she was very nice to spend time with me she was dating the bass player from the commadores at the time he was a nice guy as well..

may she Rest in peace.
