I have finally found a tablet big enough to see my sheet music without breaking the bank and being tied to Apple to manage files. I connected my mini USB cable from the tablet to my pc and VOILA, hundreds of my PDFs are in the Tron Tab Mega. I installed Mobilesheets to manage set lists etc.

And, it is a full fledged Android to boot. For $200 you can't beat it.

Bernie,
Would I get the same results going from my lap top to a 14” TV?

Bernie, how are you going to mount it on a stand?

i never would buy an android for music stuff, because all good music related stuff is ipad only... and there is a reason why so many apps are ipad only, and that will not change soon.

Sure its usefull as music reader, but thats where it stops...

by the way, a friend of mine got a 75" android device..

I bought this primarily as a 13" music reader with a touch screen,1\2 in thick, and 2 1\2 lbs. It has it,s own stand for landscape position, but sits nicely on my music rack with a 7 hour charge. There are also mic stand holders that fit it.

The display is great, as is the touch responce. It may not be all my iPad is, in terms of apps, but then, I couldn't justify that kind of money either.

I am sitting here typing from it, and find it very pleasant.

Bernie,
The bottom line is that you are enjoying it; nothing else is very important. Bernie, isn’t that the reason that I bought your Kn7000. I have never enjoyed a keyboard more; I spend hours programing it AND – it will never be used for playing out.
My mother would take half my toys and hide them for six months or more. When she brought them back to me it was like getting a new familiar toy. Wisdom!

I’m interested in your idea, I have been thinking along the same lines for a while. The new 10” IPad is in the $800 range; far more than I wish to spend. It may be time for another trip to Bernie’s place to take a look see.(smile)

About three years ago I was playing with a terrible guitar player but he was a good singer. Because his computer skills were not very good so I ran a wire from my laptop to his. All he had to do was read the chords and lyrics on his screen and sing. (mother of invention)

Take care my friend – enjoy, John C.

John
I have experienced the toy box scenario many times with my keyboards, most notably the KN7000. I never failed to come back to it without marveling at the sounds and ingenious OS. If the truth be known, from strictly a practical standpoint, I could have saved many thousands of dollars playing nothing but the Technics. OOH, how can I put a dollar value on the joy of the challenge and the thrill of learning something new on a new keyboard.

No regrets at all.

All my portable devices are Android due to the affordability, and number of available apps.

Here are a few of the apps for android music devices.

Good luck with your new tablet. I remember when every one wanted smaller portable devices, now the demand is for larger screens.

Looks like mobile Sheets has upgraded to a Pro Version for $12.99.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro

They also have a companion program that links it with your PC.
Download the MobileSheetsPro Companion and unlock the ability to manage your library from the comfort of your PC.

The MobileSheetsPro Companion is designed to connect to MobileSheetsPro on an Android tablet.

This installer supports all Windows versions. An active wireless network is required that your tablet can connect to.

Looks like it is free.
