I have MIDI lined up and working well from my TASCAM DP 24 from the beginning of the song, works like a champ. Problem is if I want to start from say bar 8 the PA 4X starts at one and DOES NOT SLAVE IN TIME.

My Triton Extreme still does that like a charm.

What am I missing? Help..............

Maybe there is no tempo message sent if you start later? The tempo message is sent at the beginning of the file and later only if a tempo change is inserted. I don't know the Tascam device, just an idea.

Well....I have the Extreme set up MIDI Thru after the PA 4X at the same time and it starts and stops on a dime....

It has to be the PA 4X set up, but there is nothing I can see to set-up....

Now the Extreme has a box to tick saying RECEIVE EXTERNAL REAL-TIME COMMANDS option...does that make a difference?

In my Integra there is a general setting for time, either slave or master. Maybe check that kind of setting in the PA-4X?

I finally gave up after a full 6 hours trying to fix this...For anyone who may go through this as well, A Korg representative was so gracious to answer with the following.

I went to plan B, but this is a little irritating. Gotta have Song Position Pointer capabilities.

How are you guys doing this in DAW? Also, any PA 3X owners know if that unit has Song Position Pointer?
