1) The new Concert Grand piano is gorgeous. Playing solo with it, or with a bed of string/pad produces some really fine sounds. One thing I've observed is that the Concert Grand doesn't seem to play well within a style.

I've tried it through my Bose L1 as well as a traditional PA setup and the low end becomes muddy and beyond tweaking. Sunday night, I loaded the legacy grand piano sound and everything sounded great.

2) When I switched from the CGP (that was saved in my registrations) to the legacy grand piano, I lost some of my effects from my TC Helicon voice live rack unit. It seems I lost some overall volume as well as some high end.

All I did was substitute in the legacy piano for the new one...

Any ideas on why this action would've effected my external vocal processor in any way? (I wasn't using the onboard vocals at all.)

Thoughts?

Are you playing the Piano in Mono thru only One Bose or in stereo with two units? Yamaha Pianos don't do well in Mono...

Morning Donny...

I'm running out of both left & right outputs into the Bose Tonematch channel 4/5. As I have for several years.

Like I said, once I switch over to the legacy grand piano, the piano I'm used to sounds great...its just the weird effect on the TC Helicon that's concerning me?

I'm going to play around with it today and see if the effects sound snormal once I save the legacy piano to the registration and not just
substitute it in on the fly.

(It just doesn't seem like it should have any effect since I'm nto using the psr mic feature...)

Running a full stereo signal out of the psr (as I've done my T2 for years) into inputs 3 & 4 (which share a channel on the rear of the tonematch.

I've had it explained to me it not a true stereo sound because there's no left right to the PA system I'm using. It is the fullest way however to transmit the full output of the kb to a mono system that I'm aware of given the equipment I'm using.

I've been very pleased with the sound of both the pinao and the kb in general.

The keyboard affecting your external vocal processor is strange. I was using my back up harmonizer, Roland VE20 recently and noticed that it was somehow adding reverb to my PSR S750 keyboard sound. That never happened before. I spent some time with the Roland back in September waiting for my main unit, a Digitech V3 to be repaired. Worked with it enough to be able to get by if my Digitech was not fixed on time. I certainly would have noticed anything weird at that time. It was only recently that I noticed it effecting my Concert Grand Piano sound. I find this very strange. Let us know if you find the cause. By the way I'm going through Bose too.

God Bless,
Don

Bill, check the midi output and be sure it is on kbd & style and not All.

L&R inputs into a mono source will make it just a bit fuller but in no way is it stereo. try it without the bose mixer see what turns up..process of elimination.

good luck
