PSR-S970 = $1995....T5 = $5,000...WOW what a spread...they need a middle of the road machine.

I think we finally got them to listen when it comes to PRO players & Tyros...now we need for them to wake up on the PSR in some ways (I know it is a very nice set of keyboards overall)

Tyros might be pro in sound but not in design for the gig musician at all it,s too big and heavy to lug around every day. The S970 is fine they just have to listen to the REAL gigging players and add a few more needed navigational features like a larger Tilt display, better quality tracking VH2, Smf/style converter, CS, indented grip handles on the sides, Tyros keybed, sliders, redesigned MFD that can save transpose, & change song file text size, XLR mic input, no wall wart, etc,... some of the things things we have been asking for and charge another $500+ big deal..hope they are reading this.

I have the S-950, and the only time I saw a 970 the display was even easier to read. Also, as for the tabs, they are readable when highlighted.

Donny, I never had a problem playing when I tilted the keyboard(s). Didn't have to tilt them very much to see everything on the display. Just a few degrees did the job. You must really sit a lot lower than I do while performing. I thought I recall you saying that you just use one of the chairs where you happen to be playing? That may have something to do with it. I use the Quick Lock stool, which is probably a foot or more higher than a regular chair.

Gary cool

Although my S970 screen is OK, the tilt screen on my Tyros is a heck of a lot easier to read when gigging.

Thanks guys...looks like I better go see one & set at it.
I am 5'3".....looks like you Gary are pretty tall.
The idiots..all they would have to do is build it with a few degrees angle in the screen so everyone can see it better. Most of these type screens can be seen BETTER fron upper angle than lower.

So...as far as screen readability goes...the PA900 would not be any better??

For me the Pa900 was the worst of all... at a low sitting angle it was like having no view at all, glare etc, unless up on top of it, in that regard the S970 display is far superior.
