Found a couple of links at Yamaha site within the topic style edit, copy / paste parts as well.
Probably old "news", but just in case anyone did not see it:

Compared to Technics?
Maybe it's a "easy way" to do it at PA4X too?
Downloaded manual, have to read a bit ... when I got enough sparetime. smile

Gunnar ... I don't know if I ever did this on my kn6000 ... but if it is easy on the Pa900, I would think it has to be easy on the Pa4X ...

It's fairly easy on the PSR-S950 and S-970 as well. After you've done it a few times, it takes less than a minute to complete the process. I've done this several times, though the first time was a bit time consuming.

good luck,

I just downloaded the demo and watched the video its pretty straight forward and so easy to operate drag & drops style parts etc,,......the full version lets you save your work. I read the help instructions within the demo also..

Well I spent the best part of 30 minutes trying to comprehend doing it within the keyboard and I just about almost threw the KB out the window trying to decipher how to do this as per these instructions above with no success using the style creator feature.. mad so many steps....and of course theres no instructional video anywhere to watch it done either frown

I am going to go the Stylemagic program route as it's soooooooooooo much easier to just drag an drop different parts with ease. Well at least I tried,....I know you can do it in the KB somehow confused1 but I don't have the time or patience at this point...

carry on..

ok I had some more time today to try and swap style parts again on a Yamaha arranger KB...
I was fortunate enough to find a much better STEP BY STEP instruction from Fred on the Psr Tutorial page Thank you so much....clear precise steps to using the SDTuyle creator & assembly features etc, switch parts I followed them to a tee and was successful...it's a bit daunting the first time but once you follow the steps exactly and get the idea of what your doing it becomes easier each time....I actually changed two different parts an Intro3 and a Var4 Fill,...this made the style perfect for my needs when performing,......now that I know it can be done in the KB although not as easy as StyleMagic programs drag and drop it opens up a whole new door to customizing your styles in any way you need too. My next attempt will be to create a style perfect for Bona Sera by Louie Prima as it starts as a tango and then to a swing & back to a Tango....by swapping style parts for a Tango & Swing style you can create the variations to jump between the both tempos all in one style. A very Powerful tool...give it a try !!

a Happy Camper again keys

Donny ... I am glad you found a way that seems to make it as easy as it is on the Pa900... once you've done it a couple of times it becomes second nature... Have fun...
