To my surprise, the German magazine Bonedo rates the E-A7 very positively (4.5 of 5 stars).
Unfortunately, it's in German, of course.

Translation of a part of the conclusion, dealing with sounds and styles:

In the 1,100 euro class, the Roland E-A7 provides a new arranger alternative which is absolutely convincing. The keyboard has plenty of excellent-sounding tones and styles and also convinces with its high-quality effects. [...]

Translation of the 'Pros and Cons':

PRO

very good overall sound
very good sounds and styles
good effects
Sampling function
Scale Tuning
good value for money
low weight

CONTRA
small, monochrome displays with limited viewing angle and optical stripes
no MIDI recorder

I never put much into any magazines biased reviews .....better off listening to people that actually own the kb in question and assess their thoughts in the real world...

thanx for the link.

I think it is just and additional help to assess things. But the review also provides audio demos of sounds and styles, that are surely recorded in a good quality. From those I can tell again that the brass sounds are compressed in relation to BK-9. The styles presented sound 90% identical to BK-7m and BK-9 regarding their arrangement.

You can easily get two completely contrary opinions from two people who have played the same instrument. The only safe way to go is to test it yourself instead of listening to anybody.
