He made, playing keyboards cool.

With some of his antics, I'm surprised he never injured himself or electrocuted, himself on stage. I know latter in his life, he had too have surgery on his right arm. To repair some nerve damage. Due too playing keyboards hard.

I've always said this about KE too. I had always wanted to be a guitarist first and foremost, but at the time I became interested in playing music I had a Sears Silvertone Organ. I had recently discovered ELP, and although I was also influenced by other players, listening to KE sealed the deal for me. I was also handy at making electronics projects from PC Boards, so I made a variety of effects and amps for the amplifier portion of the Silvertone, and gradually I got it to sound a little more like a rock organ ..
