I have a gig later this afternoon. I can't play one hour of Irish music by heart. So I will have to rely upon my tablet. I usually play 5 or so tunes that would fit the occasion and then other tunes. What about you? Do you play nothing but Irish tunes for the whole hour?

Played the Parade last Saturday a part of the Prairie Dogs. On a float, pulled by my son's "rat rod" 1948 truck...others a little under the sheets. You don't want to know the rest.
Played a reception for the city this afternoon and will play my regular gig at a country club. Staff wears green, but that's about it.

When we had the band in NY we would play about 8 St. Patrick's Day dinner dances in a two weekend period ... I have NEVER liked corned beef and cabbage and sometimes the aroma REALLY bothered me ... I couldn't wait for St. Patrick's day to pass ... I did enjoy the bagpipes and the step dancers though ... I didn't have one this year and don't mind ...

No time to gig. I'm WORKING tonight. I have green glasses with orange lights that flash. I will do Rose Colored Glasses, but sing it in Irish. If I smell cabbage I will leave. I will play Danny Boy and Irish Eyes. That's all I know in Irish. Maybe McNamara's Band...
