Dayton Daily News: Local nursing homes need your time/help...

Bill, a good effort; a serious social issue. I have always admired your interest/focus on social and significant political issues.

I'm getting ready to place a lady for whom I serve as legal guardian in a nursing home. Previously, I visited up to two a day; my in laws were in different homes at the same time.

As you know, I am on the board of the only advocacy group that addresses the Nursing home Reform issues in Kentucky...background checks...minimum staffing requirements...training issues and a lot more.

I never go to a nursing home that I don't stop and visit some dear old people; many of whom have been "parked" until the end.
