Col Honestly I think this style conversion needs work...is it me or alot of hand clapping in the beat is going on?...I remember having this problem with Yamaha conversions and had to use a micro editor to remove them......thanx for sharing.

Hi Donny

The hand clapping is the style, the Tyros 5 Orchestral Bossa, it's
on the S970 as well as the Tyros 5, give it a try and see what yours sounds like. Be interesting.

Col, I have no knowledge of vArrangers, but it does not as good as the other major keyboards.

I have listened to other vArranger and feel pretty much the same.

This is not personal to you Col, it’s about the vArranger. Could I be missing something?

I have had the vArranger for several years and sound wise, even using the SD2 module, it sounds better than many. I think the SD2 is still the best except VSTi's that can be loaded instead.

Since I know you have an excellent ear, I wonder what you listened to.

Just my opinion, but a good one nonetheless.

Sd1000 blows away the sd2....

The sd1000 uses the same sound collection as the sd7...

The only other instrument that gives good results with Varranger is supposed to be yamaha Moxf or Motif Xs/Xf. Because they keep true to the GM standard...

Roland integra 7 as well a Korg Kronos have top knotch sounding GM onboard, however they are less balanced then Yamaha and Ketron...

I didn't express it very well, but my point is that vArranger is not deficient to most keyboards in sound. The old SD2 is good, and it goes up from there.

Here you go Donny, had another go same style just muted the percussion track.

https://app.box.com/s/e1amguly32u2zp0ywat8b5lrgt1qx9gk

Just to make a point regarding the voices, the style voices are Dan's sf2 set (vSynth)only the right hand voices are the SD2.
