Nice PR for the software, but not that big, really big news, is it? Mostly "old" updated stuff in new wrappings, or .. ?
Similiar pack(s) is also in the T4 section of the Yamaha Music Store, but this one is updated to play well and use the sounds etc. at T5.
And of course, you have to buy the expanded memory to load the stuff. In other words, business as usual.

Think I have to ask my Doctor about my ears when visit on Monday, because to me Yamaha don't manage to get rid of the CD'ish, far too perfect and a bit "cold" sound.
I.m.h.o. as a simple amateur of course, Korg and Ketron sound warmer and more natural.

After buying a Ketron SD7, I am inclined to believe what you
are saying. My T-5 is not being used hardly at all because
of the superior sounds of the Ketron. Lloyd

WOW!!! Lloyd I remember back when you first got the SD7 you weren't so sure about it, but hearing from you now 7 months later and your honest opinion speaks volumes about the instrument. Glad to see you are enjoying the SD7!!

For those just wanting the Ketron sounds, there is the relatively new SD1000 which has mostly the same sounds as the SD7..... Just check the prices of that module, and you will understand that its a bargain...

I have the SD-1000. The sounds are mostly excellent.
BUT, how do you select them if ...lets say you connect it to a T5?? To my knowledge no way to do it. A Korg PA will let you set MIDI bank/Program as user voice settings....I wish Yamaha provided that. (I am looking to get a S-970 and it would be great to be able to use the SD-1000 with it).
