Did you hear a single convincing tarditional arranger style?

As Ralph Maten says, its not a traditionall arranger, its more like a toolbox (workstation) to create your own performances.... He also noted that the instrument is strong where it comes to traditionall key instruments (piano,dp,organs) and synth sounds... 4 hex sounds make this instrument a beast, but not as a traditionall arranger..

I think they are obviously aiming at younger people, performing dance style and such spthings.

Well isn't that the point to get younger people interested in arranger kb's,? the older traditional styles of music are slowly fading, .....Although not for me but for the price it certainly is a creative instrument that could be lots of fun to play. I hope they extend their style library also somehow, lots of neat features included,.....and I love the BLUE color...lol

Nothing cones close(yet) when it comes to creativity, untill the Ketron sd9 arives...
Tough not even that beats the way these pads work...

Another video in German....

Ralph maten explains again how this is not a typicall arranger keyboard for entertainer (omb)

Its a workstation with added arranger functionallity, its probably the first hardware that tries to catch the essence of ableton live... And the arranger part is only part of that...

And when you take that into account you will understand why Casio did not invest in better accoustic (woods, winds, brass etc) sounds but made sure that the typicall key (organ, dp, piano) and synth sounds are top knotch..

Their campaign indeed is not centered around us typicall arranger players, but around the younger EDM crowd...

Its good to have a different type of arranger, and i hope future instruments combine their current high end styles with the features that make the MZ-x500 shine... Having those 16 programmable pads and a touchscreen seems a huge step ...

Its funny to see how Ketron, tries to add the same type of features in tehir SD9pro, but witouth the pads you need to use the touchscreen for selecting things which in the thick of a gig is less ideal...
