Last night, one of my old Fender 84 Super Champs went out. In my bag was a new 2 lb. Quilter 101. It's 50-100 watts and fits in the pocket of a guitar bag.
I didn't expect much....boy was I surprised! Combined with the excellent Tech 21 (makers of SansAmp products) Flyrig 5 and a little PA cabinet with a 10, I had something that was comparable to my JazzKat, Hendrickson or Roland 80...all amplifiers that cost a lot more.
It's an excellent jazz guitar amplifier, and a great keyboard amplifier.
I was going to just use it as a back-up, but for quiet jazz jobs with a guitar, it's GREAT.
AT $299.00, it's a real bargain. It's getting great reviews.

Just ordered a 2nd Quilter from Frank. Always a great guy to do business with. I'm giving the first one to a down on his luck jazzer I know, who sold/pawned all his equipment, to buy whiskey, I think.
Don't forget Frank. He also has a well-chosen line of guitars, and stocks the great Godin product from Canada.

I recently bought a ZT Lunchbox on Musicians Friend Stupid Deal Of The Day for $199. It is 100 watt guitar amp with a 6.5 inch speaker that weighs under 10 lb. A great little amp I have used at rehearsal with a drummer. And yes it is just the size of a lunchbox.

GOT ONE! Actually, it is the smaller one, which I use for rehearsals. Jazz is played pretty quietly, so 50 watts is plenty for performance. I had this one, but it had a hum and the reverb sucked. Returned it.
