Definately better then the stuff we have seen so far...

The launchpads definately deserved physicall pads...

Aj, can you use the launchpad feature on top of normal styles?
Can you also set them to single shot...

Well it still needs a bit more refinement (Particularly the styles) but it’s looking good so far, and if they can bring it in at the same price (Or less) as the Korg PA4x they should sell many of them.

Yamaha will have to bring forward the T6 (And reduce the price) if they want to continue to compete in the TOTL market, as the PA4x and SD9 (Assuming it’s priced right) leave the T5 wanting in most areas.

Isn’t it a great time we live in.

Yes, drums, styles piano, no touchscreen, editabillity, clearly leaves the Tyros5 behind..

But ensemble, sa2, ease of use, style collection, community, expandabillity, organ world, effects section, brass, wood, wind... Still make it a very very strong contender...

Its hard to make an assumption where the SD9pro will end up, but currently i would rate the pa4x the best arranger for proffesionall use, and the tyros5 still the best for home users.

I dont think however it would be wise to wayt with the release of a Tyros6 till 2018... That would even allow Roland to catch up again....

In a subtitle it says some new sounds are sampled without loops - with natural decay!
Violin and oboe sound really high-quality.
The new piano sounds wooden and realistic, BUT, as with other recent Ketron pianos before, it sounds a bit indirect and muffled, which could be a problem getting it across in the mix with speakers.
