Hello

After updating firmware from 1.1.1 to 1.2.0 - my SD7 booting stuck at this screen.

What can I do ?

Working on it ... Looks like they had s power interuotiin during updating process ...

I don't know if this will help but you can try this if you have not already tried it.
1. Turn off the power totally- unplug from wall too.
2. Unplug the power supply from the keyboard.
3. Let it set for about 5 minutes
4. Re-connect the power cord to the SD7 and the wall
5. Turn on the power again

With some luck it might reboot for you.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with a Korg Microarranger. It turned out to be a bad motherboard. Hope that is not your issue. Please keep us updated.

Maybe SD7 have mode like Safe Mode on PC ?

Delete the 1.20 and go back to 1.10 and try again

I know on my Yamaha keyboard there is a specified three note
combination that when held when powering up will reset everything and put the keyboard in factory setup condition. I wonder if the SD7 has such a key combination?

I can't find anything in the manual.

Maybe AJ would know.

I have this same problem with MidJPro

I think Ketron comes soon with an answer to reinstall the update and a solution to start up the SD7 and go back to the 1.10 version.

Knowing how fast Ketron specialists work, I think we have to wait long.

And what do the people who have used this synth for the job?

And no one knows how to restart the SD7 with holding a vieuw buttons?
So Ketron,come on,give us an solution this DAY.

Ketron must write a warning on his page, but for some reason this does not wrote it.

Ketron released corrected wirmware.
But without instructions how to restore affected devices.

Answer from Ketron,they come very soon with an solution for restoring/freeze the SD7,they know the problem.Give it time,hopefully very soon they come with an answer.Check the website.

Hi,I have just the same problem with Midjay Pro.The update file is wrong.And now my Midjay Pro don't work.I wrote five E-mails to Ketron,but - there's no answer.HELP !!!

I updated my MidjPro 1.4.0 and I have no problem.

This is the answer i get today.

The procedure to restore instrument is almost done ..send an email to ketron@ketron.it to inform this matter and then they 'll send information on who contact for have file and instruction for fix this matter

on Friday - 24.06.2016 - I was starting the update procedure and the midjay just frozen

me too and my mjpro was dead but foozi wrote that he didn't have problems. I would like to ask when he dowload upgrade.

My friend also didn't have problems with SD7 upgrade.

I'm back in the game !!!I've had a problem with update file for Midjay Pro .Yesterday I've got an E-mail from Ketron - they wrote me to connect with my Ketron dealer in Bulgaria.He sent to me a links - to connect to Google drive.The necessery files was put from Ketron to Google drive.I've downloaded it,installed it in my PC.There is an explanation.The necessery procedure was made with SD card.And now my Midjay Pro work again.They put me a new version - 1.4.0.But I'm not satisfied with it.I've installed an old version - 1.3.4.Everything,that I need is O.K. No more updates!!!!!!!!!!!

Can You share this file with others?

I sold my SD7. Ketron not buy ever again. With this attitude to customers - let thei play on it.

Policy with Ketron and many other companies in the music branch is to only communicate trough their dealers.....

(Same goes for Yamaha, tough recently the yamaha synth division appointed a relations manager on the yamaha synth site... Tough Montage/Motif/moxf only, not for arrangers)

Communicate trough your reseller, thats the best way to go... Sadly many internet shops dont give any kind of aftersales support.

Other synthesizers do not have so many problems.

And now no more Ketron distributors in Canada
Now I am stuck with a non stable audya5 since it was repair

Keep in mind that the Montage is far from an arranger.... However, add a Ketron SD40 and you have one of the best arranger setups in the world...

I changed my mind and ordered a Korg Kronos 2

Combine that with a KETRON SD40 and you're in a different world.....
