Again recorded behind a closed door, both pairs of speakers close to their maximum volume.
1) db technologies K300 (each 11 lbs, 120W RMS)
2) FBT J5a (each 8 lbs, 120W RMS)

Bass is better on the FBT, but highs are more powerful from the K300. What do you think? I'd like to get rid of one of the two pairs. Both outperform the Nano 300 with respect to mids and highs.

Please listen with headphones. Appreciate your evaluation which might be better.

I got two opinions elsewhere who think the second ones, FBT, sound more pleasant.
I would really be glad to get some opinions here, too.

Actually I only resort to polls to get the opinion of others if I myself am undecided. I do use my own ears, but the trade-off here for me is:
-FBT sound more round, pleasant and warm as a whole
-db deliver more SPL in the mids and highs, which might especially be beneficial at noisy venues where those frequencies are easily swallowed e.g.by a chattering audience.

In addition, the comparative recording might be helpful for others, as it's virtually impossible to find a store where you can test these speakers, much less both simultaneously.

No problem. I just made a sound analysis via Audacity by cutting the frequencies below 120 Hz and repeating one section with both speakers, which revealed that the db K300 delivers decidedly clearer mids and highs.
1) db K300
2) FBT J5a
same sequence again.
