Hi Don,
Since you had both: The Bose L1 compact and the Maui 5 for a while, I would like to hear your opinion.
I read your review when you got the Mai 5, however I would like to know 2 things:
1. How does the Mai 5 compare to the Bose in terms of clarity?
I know you said they needed a bit of EQing to make them sound right.
2. How is the sound drop of compared to the Bose?

The spec rate the Bose at 108db and the Maui at 114db.
Is there an audible difference in your opinion?

I really like the clarity of the Bose, which is one of the most important things to me.

Thanks wink
Eric

I had them both also...
But I much prefer the Maui 5....crisp,clean,and very punchy, better design Imo... Bluetooth and EQ versatility.

I like them a lot. Seems to be a bit more bottom. Both Maui and Bose sound great to me as far as clarity.
To tell the truth I have never come close to maxing out the Maui. I get plenty loud enough, and there seems to be room for more volume but I don't need it where I am working. I'll try to remember to crank it up next time I catch the room empty. I haven't brought them home since I set them up, so that room is the only place I've heard them.

Quick question:
How do you put pics directly into a threat?
Do you have to upload them to the web first?
Thanks
Eric

The easiest way to post the photos is to first upload the into Photobucket.com. Then all you need to do is provide a link to the photo using the full reply screen.
