The new high end module from Ketron SD40 has just been released in europe... Arraner modules offer incredible freedom... What would you add to the SD40

Another arranger?
-yamaha tyros
-korg pa4x
(But presonally i dont see much use for 2 arrangers)

A stage piano?
-Nord stage2
-Roland RD800
-Casio px5s
-kawai MP7

A workstation?
-Korg Kronos
-Roland Fa08
-Yamaha MOXF

A performance synth?
-Yamaha montage
-Roland Jupiter 80

A digital home piano with midi?
- Casio hybrid
- Yamaha CLP 500

A home organ
- wersi Sonic
- bohm overture

A stage organ
- Hammond XK3
- Crumar Mojo
- hammond SK1
- Roland At Combo 350

Or maybe a midfied B3?

Or just a soundless masterkeyboard?

Or maybe a midi accordeon?

There is so many keyboards around, from which a module can make a full one man band orchestra....the huge advantage of a module is that it allows you to choose the keyboard thats most fun to play.. And the SD40 is a remarkable arranger module... Just 12x6 inch and less then 2 kg with a huge easy to opperate touchscreen...

The thing with arranger modules is that they are not aimed at the typicall arranger players, but are a perfect tool to add arranger styles to any style of play for any performing musician... Sadly most non arranger players dont realise how much an arranger module has to offer to their performance...

the repetitions nature of style playing is what turns off so many musicians in result thats where the divide will always remain.

Repetition? Sure... But then with 4 variations, severall fills and 4 multipads... Its up to the musician to break that mold...

So what they use when alone on the stage as backing?... Midifiles, now talk about boring...

And with style moddeling on the Ketron, for every performance its own style and drum track....

the creation process and parts structure of a song can much more be achieved using & recording with multiple tracks, to make the song exactly how YOU want arrangement wise ........
this is the preference of so many musicians worldwide,.....that's where the divide will always be ......workstation/synth vs automatic pre established arranger style play which in itself is a form of SMF.
many don't ant to hear that or do they have the talent to create from scratch but it is what it is...glad we all have choices to make music in any way we desire ..

Just use one good arranger. Hold on to your Tyros 5-76, save your money and hold off the SD40, and wait to trade for the next Tyros 76 model (maybe 2017).
